Add Life to your years

Are you adding Life to your years or are you

just spending those years with diminished hopes and dreams?

Anti-Aging is a big thing right now, but can we really hope to be able to add quality to our lives as we begin to get older? Do we have to settle for feeling tired all the time with not enough energy to get through the day?  Is it any fun being the person that everyone else waits for to catch up? Is it inevitible that we will gain excess weight and hopelessly keep it on?

I see it all the time....young people feeling tired and acting as though they were old...trying to deal with the stress of this modern life in very unhealthy ways. Energy drinks to keep up and even worse drugs and alcohol to soothe tormented spirits. This is not the way!

Everyone needs energy and hopes to simply feel good without the caffeine highs and lows that most energy drinks will give you. What you really want is the natural energy that comes from good health. Remember when you were a kid and could jump rope or run around the block at will? Remember how good you felt? Remember sailing on that old rope swing as though you hadn't a care in the world?

I see older people who seem to think that....well, I am just not as young as I used to be. Just don't expect me to

feel good or have the energy of a teenager, have the motivation to exercise or remember things as well. Why should I stop talking about my aches and pains when that is all that I can think about. And you think that I should not be depressed...just look at me!

I can identify with that. Been there, done that.  but not anymore.

I am fighting back and you can too! Take care of your health. Pay attention to what you eat and drink. Get plenty of water, fresh air and exercise. You will thank yourself when you realize that you can still do things that others your age can't.
